AllARANSSTAD HAS WATER CRISIS

-

People in the core town of Maquassie Hills municipality are drinking dirty water taken from what seems like holes under the bridge or just next to the dumping site.

The water scarcity it is now a norm in Maquassie Hills , from the core town to the peripheries the same problem day and night.Tolilets don't flash making it very difficult for fragile kids to breath , the air is not sweet to the nostrils of those with weak immune system worsening up their difficult conditions.

Thirst got people waking up very early in the morning queuing for water at the JoJo tanks , the reason behind the torture is they know that the water won't cover all of them at once only few will get water and others will be left with nothing inside their buckets.

Desperation has no pride the proof of that is on the dirty holes that barely run out of water, it is beings you see draining dirty water from the ground into their buckets. Thirsty children drinking that water without knowledge of the consequences of that.

Walking around you see people are so calm about it, perhaps they're exhausted of singing the same song over and over again.Just early 2022 school kids tried to protest but like any other protest Indian shops got vandalized and police starting chasing all the protesters, just like that everything went back to normal without water.

It has been many days without water, workers find it very hard to cope with this crisis because they have to go to work, when the JoJo tanks come they are still at work and when they come back it is all dry and buckets are empty.

All day people are chasing a spot where the JOJO tank will stop, without water many viruses arise and bacteria find place to riside. Water is an essential commodity to a life of every human being. The is no life without water, in a democratic nation the rights of citizens should be put first by ensuring that citizens are treated fairly with dignity and respect. We need water in Maquassie Hills, wolmaransstad people are crying hoping the government will hear their cries.
