Our educational system is a crime to humanity. . South African curriculum does not account for the differences in how children learn,this is a good examples of how 'horrible' our schooling system can be.You can't teach children the 'same thing' whilst their abilities are not the same.If you do that, you're making education a privilege to those who are familiar with the objectives of the curriculum and you're denying those who are not a right to education. . The curriculum should enable learners to reach their 'full potential' in whatever they are good at,so that they can be able to make a significant contribution to the society throughout their lives. . They alter 'economic barriers give birth to educational barriers', i totally disagree with that statement.Actually it is other way around, educational barriers are the roots of all kinds of barriers. If the education system is discriminating base on the limited objectives it has, then it is quite obvious that unemployment will increase. It will increase because of two things, first it will be because those whom are discriminated against won't get a proper job, secondly it will be because those who are discriminated against won't be able to pursue their passion reason being it is not part of the education system.This is one of the reason why people end up choosing a job they don't want to do, because they know that chances are very few for them to succeed in going with their passion. . Most of our societal problems are caused by our educational system,we are just unaware of it. . I have witnessed it all, I saw my former mates who were so talented in drawing failing to finish school, well they are all the victims of our educational system.Creative Arts as a subject never helped, because passing it alone and falling other subjects is considered as being dump.The curriculum bottle all learners in one bottle,you dare think outside the bottle then you're guilty as charged.It is a must for you to put all of what is in the textbook in your head, write it as it is. That way they consider you a genius. . I always asked myself why i have always been an average learner, always on position 3 or 4 or maybe on position 5.I figured out that the curriculum is a horror in a movie, it doesn't give you much of a freedom. You dare try to think outside the box, then it will catch you and you shall be called stupid.It is against you if you use your critical thinking.It doesnt give you much of a choice to make a choice.
