The sun ''Letsatsi'' the closest way to look at the sun in a perspective of batswana is by taking a deep dive in a complicated ocean called time. The is a big curiosity towards time , people from different cultures see it different.Long time ago during pre- colonisation era batswana used to use shadows to check time ; if the shadows are long at the west they will know it is still morning , when the shadows are short at the south they would know that the day just begin it is afternoon.Remember the shadows are a refelection of the sun light towards planet earth , also with the sun they would know that when the sun is in the east it is early in the morning sunrise , when the sun is in the middle just on top of their head, they knew that it was '' sethoboloko'' the best time to talk with ancestors and to eat lunch and OfCourse when the sunset they knew the night is about to start.

BATSWANA PEOPLE COSMIC KNOWLEDGE II THE MOON When the moon is full Batswana people say that it spread a fertile energy towards beings, they believed that the moon is very close to a women body rather not just that they also believed that the are rituals performed when the moon is out and full ,to which most of the rituals are secretes. To those who used to hunt at night they knew that the moon attracted certain animals and to the majority of them including those who used to stay at home full moon was a good luck to them.Batswana people knew that the moon does something to the body of a human being , it is the energy of the moon that they feel and belive that it can be positivity to their souls , heart and spirit. THE RAIN The most spoken word in Batswana language ''Pula'' simply translate rain , batswana people have been observing rain over the years , the was a time when water was such important currency to them and their cattle.A cow needed rain as much Batswana people for all it's food comes from the soil a carnivore and batswana people needed meat and milk from the cow to survive rainy days. The rain that rains heavy with lightining they would call it ''matlakadibe'' the one that comes to sin.The first rain to rain in the beginning of the year they called it ''tsheola'' they belived it is a blessing rain , also the is a rain that pours after harvesting '' kgogolammoko'' just around autum. The rains that rains to reduces the heat '' masarasarane'' it usually rains with just tiny drops , the famous rain of batswana people '' medupe''’this is the rain that batswana people would celebrate , this rain rain fast with no lightining it is the kind of rain to make you sleep peaceful at night.

Planets in setswana are named beautifully Mercury " kgujana" , Venus " Mphatlhalatsane" , Earth Lefatshe " , Mars " Mokgubejane" , Saturn " Mmanaane " , Jupiter " Tosa" , Neptune"Nalaane" , Uranus "Mohlolane" . Looking little bit back Batswana have been always curious about the universe calling the sky the heavens , they believe that the must be places that are outside "Lefatshe" Earth. To them on other worlds outside our habitat planet were spirits living there including spirit That are more superior than what ordinary eyes can perceive. They knew that the is a force that is bigger than them and it controls everything that can't be seen, hence "Modimo" God from the word "godimo" 'upwards in the sky' taken from the word "Legodimo" translate in the heavens. They knew during the winter the night would come early , whilst in summer the night will take time before it comes. The is so much knowledge that can be taken from their ways and cultural practices. If only science and African ways can be put close to each other more discoveries will be found. The are so many structures that African people built that can't even be understood by science including the pyramids of Giza in Egypt.
